JVC PC-R55W ghetto blaster in great shape. The only thing wrong with it is a couple bars are not working on the tape deck LCD display. This is a common problem that affects practically every one of this model. Information is still all pretty discernible. You can see the counter, view meters, and other indicators (Dolby, Metal, etc.)
Other than the cassette deck display, there are zero issues with this machine. Radio works great (the antenna is attached and in perfect shape). The cassette deck plays great.
The silver function buttons in the cassette deck look pretty great. Playback and record functions sound better than most home audio cassette decks!
I would consider this more of a portable stereo than a boombox. The stacked components can be separated. The sound is actually good with power and specs beyond almost any other portable stereos. There are even line in and phono inputs available.
This model is fairly rare and somewhat collectible. It’s a holy grail piece for collectors. In working condition, it usually cost $1000 or more
I’ll include an external Bluetooth adapter for streaming music from an iPhone or android.
