condition: excellent
For sale is a totally respectable turn-key system ready to play. This system consists of an Adcom GTP – 500II preamplifier/tuner, Episode EA-AMP-2D-150A digital amplifier, 0NKYO DX – 2800 compact disc player, Vector Research VT– 200 semi automatic turntable and vintage Paradigm Control Monitor speakers. All necessary, interconnects, power cords and speaker cables included.
The preamp/tuner works as it should with no surprises. The electrical plug has been replaced but it doesn’t affect performance which is excellent.
The amplifier is pretty much new in box. I used it only to test. It plays without issue and sounds very good with plenty of power to drive whatever speakers you like.
The CD player is practically like new as well and includes the remote. I couldn’t find much online about this model, but I think it’s one of their better ones because it has gold plated output jacks, and optical digital output.
The turntable is a decent entry-level, semi automatic deck with low hours on the cartridge.
The speakers are a couple vintage Paradigm Control Monitors. Not alot online about these either, but from what I gather they are pretty well regarded speakers from Paradigms early days in the late 80s. They are definitely large for bookshelf speakers, but that extra volume allows them to put out bass like a much larger speaker.
